extreme pain in my right eye?
i fell asleep in my acuvue2 colored contact lenses. i woke up and felt something in my eye. me being sleepy rubbed my right eye kinda hard and it started burning. i took out my contacts and put on my glasses. this happened about a week ago but went away in a day& the pain was not this severe. with is being sunday, no doctor near me is open and my mom wont take me out of county.....she told me to keep a warm rag over it and ignore it??!? its kinda hard to ignore a stabbing pain in ur eye!!....please, any help would be great....
(did i scratch my eye? if i did will it go away?)
yes a "scratch" is possible. also possible are contact-lens related inflammatory problems (like infiltrative keratitis) or bacterial corneal ulcer.
dont use "warm" compress...if anything use COOL/cold for this.
believe it or not you could try putting a contact lens back on. if that feels WAAAAY better, then a scratch is very possible.
however if you put the contact lens on and it only feels a *little* better or no better, then its probably not a scratch, but something else & you'd need to go to the eye doc.
